Privacy Policy

Scam Ray is an educational video channel. Behind the scenes we use a private publishing tool, connected to Google and TikTok, to post our own videos. This policy explains what that tool does with data.

Who uses the tool

Only the Scam Ray team signs in to it. Viewers never sign in to anything, and we collect nothing from them.

Google data the tool uses

• YouTube (upload scope): to upload Scam Ray's own videos, with their titles and descriptions, to the Scam Ray channel.
• YouTube read-only and YouTube Analytics: to read view counts and watch-time stats for Scam Ray's own channel and videos, so we can see which videos help viewers most.
• Google Drive: to store copies of Scam Ray's own videos so they can be reviewed before posting.

The tool does not read, store or share any other YouTube or Drive data (it never reads other people's channels, comments or private information), and we never sell or share data with anyone. Sign-in credentials are stored securely and used only for the actions above.

Scam Ray's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

YouTube

The tool uses YouTube API Services. By using it you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

TikTok

The tool uses TikTok's Content Posting API to send Scam Ray's own videos to the Scam Ray TikTok account as drafts, which the team reviews and posts in the TikTok app. It reads only the basic account details TikTok provides (such as the account name) to confirm it is connected to the right account. TikTok's handling of data is covered by the TikTok Privacy Policy.

Removing access

Access can be revoked at any time from Google's security settings or in the TikTok app's settings under Security and permissions. After that, the tool can no longer upload, read or save anything.
